About Aldo Grillo

"Even in your darkest moments, creating something real can reignite your purpose and give you direction. You don’t need a perfect plan just persistence, belief in your vision, and the courage to keep going. Your breakthrough might be just one line of code away, so keep pushing forward because your work matters, and your journey isn’t over."

Aldo Grillo is a seasoned technologist, entrepreneur, and full-stack developer with over 25 years of experience in the IT field. His journey into technology began after a successful early career in finance during the 1990s, where he worked as a stockbroker and business benefits planner, investing in many of the early internet companies during the original dot-com boom. Following the dot-com crash of 2000, Aldo pivoted into the technology sector, where his passion for computing and systems innovation found a lifelong home.

Aldo is the founder of Forester Information Technology, an IT MSP and digital marketing company launched after his departure as Director of IT for a New York City agency. Through Forester IT, he has supported small businesses with tech infrastructure, marketing, and software strategy.

Now, he is launching a new chapter—developing full-stack applications with QRMenuConnect.com, a platform designed to help restaurants digitize their menus and manage their customer interactions without the high cost of third-party platforms.

In addition to his professional work, Aldo has a passion for retro computing, particularly 8-bit computers of the 1980s. As a teenager in that era, he created computer graphic art, and he still enjoys reconnecting with vintage machines as a hobby.

Aldo’s entrepreneurial path is driven by a deep belief in innovation through resilience—a belief born from personal challenges and triumphs. His mission is simple: to build tools that empower small business owners and inspire fellow developers not to give up—no matter how hard the path may get.

Bootstrap Founders:

Bootstrap Startup Show, a community to share why and how you bootstrapped your startup. Share with other founders who are bootstrapping their startup.

Each episode is 30–40 minutes and takes listeners through your journey:

  • What life was like before the startup,

  • The moment you realized you had to start,

  • The struggles and doubts along the way,

  • Who (if anyone) helped,

  • Times you almost gave up,

  • And how you pushed through to where you are now.

✨ I’m especially looking to interview bootstrapped founders who have just launched their startup or app, so we can showcase what you’ve built and share your story from the very beginning.

My goal is to encourage other builders and aspiring entrepreneurs not to quit, even when everything seems to be falling apart.
